getting my 8 year old to run

Hi, I live in Ochiltree and am looking for somewhere for my 8 year old daughter to try running. She does dance and karate but she can't run!! She is fed up with coming last in every sports day race. I'm not expecting her to be a star or anything but if she could get some confidence that would be great. Can anybody help or suggest what would be best for her. Many thanks.Mark.
