D'oh, I wanted to run "Ely New Years Eve 10k" and had geared up for it since Ne'er day. No point now if it doesn't count towards this prestigious prize. I'll just have to wait until Beith .

As posted in another topic I'll be tackling the 10km on the 26th so I'll plump for:
ambitious target: 35'00''
realistic target: 37'40''
They vary quite a bit as I've never ran anywhere near 10km at pace before. I have got in a couple of 4 mile tempo efforts at a touch over 24 mins but after that its completely uncharted territory!

my times.. 5k predicted 18.55 actual 18.31, 10k pred 38.50 actual 39.19, half pred 1.28.00 actual 1.28.04 and full pred 3.10.00 actual 3.08.22
