I am no expert on what the track people do but I will give it a shot. They turn up at around seven on a tuesday and thursday, stand about for a long time, do a bit of stretching, bit more standing about, bit more stretching, warm up, standing about, run very quickly and stop, repeat four or five times and you get the picture. Only joking guys and gals I am sure a track person will find their way here one day and will give a far more in depth description of what they get up to.

NO Kevan u have got it so wrong!! We warm up by goin 4 at least 3 laps then we stretch with the shoulders first then work downwards. Then we do sprints, high knees etc. Then we start on the track for e.g. 14x 200m 1min recovery between each. Then we see who can do a sprint finish 4 the last one. Thnk u can handle that Kevan.
If u think u can handle tht, then please come down 2 the track and try REAL TRAINING!!!!!

Well Nelson, I stand corrected. I sure hoped you guys actually did a lot more than it looked like. I remian sceptical though, 14 x200s, think I might have to count the next time I am down. I am going to do 12 400s on the track tonight See you there.

I don't know where nelson trains, but it's obviously not at Ayr. Kevin, you're right, we're just there for the social. Theres nothing on TV on a Thursday night. It's also a bit cold to be standing around the streets whereas the light training plan keeps you comfortably warm. This life will do me fine until I'm old enough looking to be sold Buckie at the offie.

Lazee & Nelson, if you really are seaforth track guys, which i doubt because you seem far too friendly and articulate for that , do you want to be moderators for the track boards? It is a very prestigious role with lots of responsibilities. Just thought it might be nice to have someone that knows about that stuff to take such a high profile role. Admittedly, at the moment, it is purely symbolic gesture as there is hardly a lot of content that needs moderating but one day it might be necessary. Kevan.

As my name suggests, I'm just too Lazee for that. However, I think Nelson would be the ideal canditate as he is a self confessed running man and not just doing it until the other type of clubbing becomes legal. Club de mar, here I come!!!

I think a moderators main job is to make sure that there are no inappropriate posts on the board e.g offensive stuff like swearig etc and that the posts are in the right place, e.g. no cross country stuff in the track section. You get my drift?
If you want you can also be responsible for posting news and gossip from the track as not many people on here know much about what goes on in track land.

Hi Nelson,
If you want any results posted on the ayrseaforth.co.uk webpage, e-mail myself at connell@ayrseaforth.co.uk and I'll more and happily post them on the results or news page. Also if you or any of your track mates fancy running with the big lads on the 4K, there more than welcome.
at the end of the day, we're all the same club and the more we can promote it, the better we'll be.
